The Lord has advised Ahaz to trust in Him rather than seek help from others. Ahaz has either already sought or will soon seek help from the king of Assyria, Tiglath-pileser, to combat their enemies. However, this decision will have devastating consequences. The Lord urges Ahaz to trust in Him, stay strong, and not be afraid, instead of relying on Assyria for assistance.
