This verse clearly shows that he was ready to endure suffering, sadness, difficulties, and dangers in the hope of our glorious resurrection from the dead. This transformation from mortal to immortal and perishable to imperishable is made possible through grace and faith in Jesus Christ, our only God and Saviour.
