The wise men from the east opened their treasures and presented Him with gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh. According to many, the richness of gold represents Christ's deity, kingship, and glory. The beautiful perfume of frankincense is said to signify His sacrifice, priesthood, and perfection. Meanwhile, the bitter taste of myrrh represents His suffering and death on the cross, as well as depicting Him as a Prophet.
