The darkness that plagued Israel persisted even after the king of Assyria's reign. However, with the arrival of the Messiah and his message of repentance, a new era of salvation has commenced, and the kingdom of God is now present. Therefore, even though the nights may seem long and the days short, it is important to understand that Christ's arrival has ushered in a new dawn. We should live according to God's timetable and walk in the light.
